Information security company Addamark Technologies Inc. of San Francisco said it has completed a $9 million second round of venture funding. Lead investor Canaan Partners joined prior investors Battery Ventures and Sierra Ventures in the round. Both previous investors participated in Addamark's $7 million first round, announced last July. Addamark develops security software for logged data and targets financial services companies as customers.

Addamark Technologies Inc., San Francisco, picked up $9 million in series B funding. Canaan Partners led the round, which included existing investors. Maha Ibrahim of Canaan Partners will join the company's board. Addamark Technologies, a software-security company, will use the funds for its sales, product-development and customer-support efforts.
