Sensage To Host Webinar On Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard Pragmatic Approaches for Maintaining PCI Compliance and Improving Investigations, A "Must-Attend" Event for Retailers, Online Merchants and Credit Card Data Processors SAN FRANCISO, CA - January 25, 2006 - SenSage, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise security analytics, will host a free and informative webinar on January 31, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time/1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time titled, "Pragmatic Approaches for Maintaining PCI Compliance and Improving Investigations." This event will explore practical and effective approaches for retailers, online merchants, acquiring banks, and payment service providers to achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard. The PCI standard, created in cooperation by Mastercard International and Visa USA, is intended to protect the security and privacy of cardholder data. PCI requires that merchants and credit card service providers implement a series of 12 clearly defined information protection and security assurance measures. Although the deadline for conforming to this standard was June 30, 2005, many organizations have not yet achieved full compliance. Additionally, annual reviews are required to validate continued compliance. "Requirement 10," the focus of the SenSage webinar and one of the most challenging requirements of the PCI standard, mandates that merchants and service providers track and monitor all system activity and event logs from computer network systems and software that house or touch cardholder data. This requirement requires the long-term retention of event log data, placing enormous storage and data management burden upon merchants and credit card processors, many of whom already struggle to maintain compliance with an increasing number of other state, federal and industry-specific regulations designed to protect the privacy and security of customer data. SenSage's webinar will provide attendees with actionable advice on how to implement cost-effective Security Information Management strategies for system activity logging, data retention and analysis. The webinar will feature three expert speakers:
